Writing…An Adventure For A Lefty

Any lefties out there? Lefties for life! Apreesh! Okay, now that that is done, let us go back to the matter at hand. Don’t get me wrong, I love writing, but being a writing lefty isn’t always fun. All the graphite gets smeared on the side of my hand, and it makes the paper look so messy.

The thing that gets me going the most, I must say, is when a teacher sits you next to a right handed person. Because it is never a fun time when you are taking tests, or writing essays. Especially when you have that mad-movicky next to you whose elbow is constantly bumping yours!

So besides the bumping elbows and the graphite hand smears, writing is actually a great outlet for me. Most of the time, people will never end up reading what I have written. So I can say anything I want. There are no limits, and no restrictions. Write as little, or as much as you want. Write about dogs or write about the planets. That is what I love about writing. It can be whatever you want it to be. The only criticism you should take on it, is your own. Because does it really matter what the person next to you thinks about it? If you enjoy it and love it, then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

I once stumbled across someone who said this about blogging. “At the end of the day this digital collection of pixels and such doesn’t make a difference to anyone’s life– not even mine. This blog is just an outlet, a catalyst. A hobby. It’s where these thoughts and words come from and who I share them with that really matters.”

So my first adventure of 2013 is Writing as a Lefty. (Even with my horrible penmanship!)

Let the Adventure Begin!
